Great symphonic progressive rock with a superb sound quality: Anima Mundi - The Way The third album by this Cuban band has received enthusiastic reviews and top ratings. This really is a top class album with dreamlike instrumental parts, gorgeous guitar and keyboard passages and a bombastic sound - a phenomenal album and my top recommendation.

PBII with a brilliant live performance on DVD
On their very professional and enjoyable brandnew DVD PBII presents a strong concert with great musicianship, joy of playing and a strong live sound. Also available again: the very rare releases of the PBII predecessor Plackband.
Recommendable 2nd solo album by Colin Mold: Girl on the Castle Steps Also on his brandnew album the new Karnataka member proves his broad talent as multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. This CD features very melodic, sensitive rock with progressive and folky elements in the spectrum between Barclay James Harvest, Karnataka and Iona.
Pendragon's next masterstroke: "Passion" (CD + DVD)
This is another fantastic release by Pendragon. "Passion" has the potential for the best prog album and the track "This Green and Pleasant Land" for the best song of the year.
Very impressive conceptual album: Morphelia - Waken the Nightmare With their nearly two hour long double CD the band from North Germany has released one of the top progressive rock albums of 2009. The final 27 minute long song for me is one of the best tracks of the last years. Highly recommended. Second "The Wake" release by IQ within 3 months After the release of their "25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition" of "The Wake" with 3 CDs and a DVD last summer another edition of this epic work is available: a strong live set at "De Boerderij" in Holland from 2010 on DVD and CD.

Gavin O'Loghlen & Cotters Bequest - Land of the vast horizon Fantastische Mischung aus Folk Rock, progressiven und symphonischen Elementen und m.E. das beste Celtic-Album aller Zeiten.
