Being born as the daughter of an ethiopian priest in Addis Abeba, Seble Laeke got already very early in touch with the christian culture of Ethiopia. After having finished the ethiopian highschool, she lived several years in Italy. Today it is her wish to convey the thousands of years old culture of Ethiopia, which drives her back to her roots. Seble Laeke visits Ethiopia more then once in a year. Sie speaks fluently amharian, english, german and italian.

Can I pick up the items?
Yes. Collection is possible by appointment. We would be pleased to meet you and could gladly present a selection of particularly interesting objects.

If you buy several pieces with us, we combine them automatically. After each purchase we send you an updated account by e-mail. In this message we indicate also the total shipping costs more favorable for you.

How long can I collect?
Up to 3 weeks starting from item ordered first. Afterwards we ask for individual arrangement or complete payment of all objects bought with us.

Insured dispatch?
Yes. For you as a customer all supplies take place insured. If the commodity does not arrive, you receive from us a comparable object or your money back!

Return/exchange possible?

Where do the objects come from?
We import all objects personally for you from Ethiopia. By doing that we guarantee that you receive exclusively high-quality originals with us. Our partners in Ethiopia are simple craftsmen, priests and resident dealers in the individual regions. So a part of our incomes flows back to Ethiopia. With individual pieces we pass 100 per cent of the amount to the artist or craftsmen. If this is the case with an offer, we refer in the description of article.

How old are the objects?
We call only such objects old, with which we know this by reason of our long-term cooperation with personally well-known partners in Ethiopia. In the interest of a long-term confidential relationship with our customers we reject the inflationary use of terms as “old” and “rarely” for sales promotion. The majority of the objects was manufactured in more recent times - naturally using the old traditional procedures in time consuming manual work. We gladly advise our customers on this question even if they are not our items.

Are there hidden minimum prices with auctions?
No! We reject the manipulation of offers strictly. Because we want to have a high degree of transparency for our customers we also do not practice the common method of creating a higher price by (hidden) surcharges in the shipping costs.
